Born In Gateshead, moved to Crawley in 1967. Honours degree in Economics from Brunel University. Qualified as Chartered Accountant in 1982 and spent 8 years working in London for Midland Bank (HSBC) as the Retail branch financial controller and later as the Treasury financial controller. Spent 20 years in Eastern Europe (based in Warsaw, Poland) working in systems design, development, and implementation for several banks in the region covering Moscow, Poland, Serbia, Czech Republic, Durban – South Africa, Ireland, France, UK, and the USA. Since returning to Crawley I have worked for a local Hotel and Crawley Borough Council. I have 3 children – 2 sons and a daughter all have University degrees covering Economics, Computer Science and Graphic Design. While in Poland my wife and I ran a dance school for 4 years with myself as the DJ. I have played football, rugby, cricket, squash, table tennis and latterly golf as a member of 2 golf clubs. Musical tastes are rock and roll, reggae, rhythm, and blues, I’m a big Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton fan. I have had many holidays in the Caribbean as well holidaying in the Seychelles, Maldives, Kenya, Australia and Disney in Florida and Paris. In my time off I am learning to play the guitar.
