Mike Flippance

Managing Director

Mike has over 30 years of experience in the IPMI, Global Emergency Medical Assistance, Insurance and Finance sectors. Throughout his career, he has held senior management roles with prominent organisations including AIG, AXA, MAPFRE and Marsh McLennan. Mike joined IPRS Aeromed in 2021 as Operations Director and was promoted to Managing Director in 2024.

Ed Eccles

Commercial Director

Ed joined in 2024 in the newly created role of Commercial Director, where he is tasked with leading the company’s strategic growth. Ed most recently worked for Mitie PLC Care & Custody as Commercial Controller and has previously held a variety of contract management and commercial roles in utilities, aerospace, military, and finance sectors. Working on complex, £ multi-million Government contracts, Ed brings a comprehensive level of expertise.

John Woodhouse

Management Accountant

Born In Gateshead, moved to Crawley in 1967. Honours degree in Economics from Brunel University. Qualified as Chartered Accountant in 1982 and spent 8 years working in London for Midland Bank (HSBC) as the Retail branch financial controller and later as the Treasury financial controller. Spent 20 years in Eastern Europe (based in Warsaw, Poland) working in systems design, development, and implementation for several banks in the region covering Moscow, Poland, Serbia, Czech Republic, Durban – South Africa, Ireland, France, UK, and the USA.

Alex Smallwood

Chief Medical Officer

Alex, a GP with over 20 years of experience, has held key roles such as Chief Medical Officer, Medical and Transformation Directors. He has driven large-scale changes in public, commercial, and private sectors, benefiting government bodies, insurers, and the NHS. Passionate about safe, effective care, he also enjoys squash and hockey. Alex joined Aeromed in March 2025.

Vicki Stuart

Technical and Quality Manager

Vicki’s depth of knowledge has been gained over 25 years working in the international medical assistance and repatriation fields with a variety of blue-chip corporate and public sector clients. Vicki joined in 2004 and has progressed in the business to become Technical and Quality Manager where she works closely with clients and our operational and clinical teams to ensure delivery of unrivalled services.

Rebecca Pasmore

Clinical Lead

Rebecca is a registered paramedic with diverse experience in both NHS and private healthcare settings. She joined IPRS in April 2023, became part of the Aeromed team in January 2024 and was promoted to Clinical Lead in November 2024. Rebecca is dedicated to fostering continuous improvement, prioritising patient safety, and achieving optimal outcomes through a systematic, collaborative approach across the organisation.

Lola Ramon

Transformation Manager

I’m an accomplished leader with over 20 years operational experience gained within the independent healthcare sector. A self-motivated individual with a wealth of knowledge gained through the mobilisation and delivery of several high value and complex healthcare services commissioned by the NHS. Including but not limited to Urgent Treatment Centres, GP Out of hours & forensic medical services. Successfully implemented GP Out of hours services for 3 locations in the West Midlands and played a pivotal role in the change of the operating model within a very fast paced 24-hour Urgent Treatment Centre.

Samantha Scotland

HR Business Partner

I sound fun at parties…..

A generalist with 25 years’ experience in HR, Samantha has gained extensive operational and strategic experience in the Hospitality, Civil Engineering and Financial Services sectors before more latterly joining IPRS Aeromed as HR Business Partner.
Samantha is passionate about creating a culture whereby employees are motivated, empowered and developed to realise their full potential and feel valued in every step of their career.

Chloe Patel

Operations Manager

I have been working within the sectors of Health, Repatriation, domestic and travel Insurance services for the last 10 years I have worked my way up, starting as a Customer Service Advisor to a Team Manager of a Call Centre and as an Operations Manager within AXA and more recently managing claims teams.
My job is very rewarding by providing customers with great service, mentoring my team to progress and deliver to agreed SLA. Large team management coaching, problem solving and operational leadership as well as resource management.
