New IPRS Group Charity of the Year 2024 Announced

Dementia UK has been selected as the charity of the year by IPRS Group for 2024, with colleagues from various sectors within the group to dedicate their efforts to fundraising throughout the upcoming year.

Every year, we ask our colleagues which charity they would like us to represent which always presents us with a very difficult decision.

Dementia UK is a charity that provides Admiral Nurses for families affected by dementia. Their vision is to provide specialist and compassionate dementia support for all families that need it.

Dementia is an umbrella term for a range of progressive conditions that affect the brain. There are over 200 subtypes of dementia with the most common being Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, and mixed dementia.

Each type of dementia stops a person’s brain cells (neurones) working properly in specific areas, affecting their ability to remember, think and speak.

Dementia can affect a person at any age but it’s more common in people over the age of 65.

As IPRS Group continues to grow, so does the number of nominations we receive for our charity of the year with it naturally being very hard to choose which charity to support. Of the charities suggested, Dementia UK comfortably received the most votes, and we are proud the be supporting them this year.

IPRS Group CEO, Martyn Jackson said, “Caring for the health of our community extends beyond our services, it’s about making a tangible difference in people’s lives. We are proud to announce Dementia UK as our chosen charity of the year for 2024. They are an excellent charity whose work is extremely important in support those effected. We’re all looking forward to supporting them for the next year.”

Throughout the year colleagues from across the group will partake in a range of different fundraising events ensuring everyone is able to contribute to our efforts.

Colleagues are already taking part in the March Dog Walking Challenge and over Easter colleagues will be tasked with creating a celebrity Easter egg – keep an eye out for the best efforts on our social media pages!

IPRS Group Receives Prestigious Platinum Accreditation at Best Employers 2023

We are thrilled to announce that IPRS Group have once again achieved a Platinum Accreditation at the Best Employers Eastern Region 2023 ceremony.

This remarkable achievement marks the second consecutive time we have received this prestigious recognition, underscoring our unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional workplace culture and fostering a positive colleague experience.
At the 2023 Best Employers Eastern Region ceremony, IPRS Group were awarded Platinum Accreditation in recognition of our exceptional results in our recent colleague engagement survey conducted over the summer. The survey revealed that IPRS Group consistently ranked in the top quartile for nearly every category, showcasing our commitment to colleague engagement, company culture, and values.

IPRS Group’s ability to maintain the highest standard of excellence, even amid substantial growth since the last survey in 2021, is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our colleagues.
The judges were particularly impressed with the comprehensive colleague experience that we have worked exceptionally hard to implement, stating, “We were impressed at how the business has adapted, evolved, and invested in its wide range of culture and engagement strategies.”

Reflecting on this achievement, our HR Director, Lisa Simcock, shared her thoughts, ” I am overwhelmed, elated and extremely proud to achieve platinum accreditation again. Since the last survey in 2021, IPRS Group has nearly doubled in size, undergone acquisition and added a new business to the portfolio. This could not have been achieved without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated colleagues who are passionate about our future direction. Taking part in the Best Employer programme gives invaluable insight into our culture and demonstrates the high levels of colleague engagement and job satisfaction which has had an extremely positive impact on the achievement of quality service delivery and standards.”

Group CEO Martyn Jackson also expressed his pride in this recognition, saying, “our success is closely tied to the relationships we have with our clients and colleagues. Creating an exceptional workplace culture and experience for everyone within the organisation is key and underscores the idea that a positive work environment and a focus on colleague wellbeing does have a positive impact on the business’s success and its ability to serve our clients effectively.”

This outstanding achievement at the Best Employers 2023 ceremony builds upon IPRS Group’s reputation as a leading employer. In 2021, we were honoured to receive the Best Employers Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals category award at the Best Employers Eastern Region 2021 awards. Additionally, we earned Platinum Accreditation in recognition of our commitment to colleague engagement and creating a supportive, inclusive work environment.

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we would like to express our gratitude to our dedicated colleagues, who have contributed to making IPRS Group a truly exceptional workplace.

We look forward to continuing this journey of excellence and maintaining our commitment to fostering a positive colleague experience.

IPRS Group Sign Time to Change Employer Pledge

The IPRS Group is delighted to announce it has signed up to Time to Change Employer Pledge, affirming our commitment to protecting our colleague’s mental health.

By signing The Time to Change Employer Pledge, the IPRS Group is a committing to changing the way we think and act about mental health in the workplace.

With the day to day worries, struggles and pressures the Covid-19 is having on us, we felt that now, more than ever, we wanted to show our support and pledge to address the issues around mental health in the workplace.

This commitment is supported by a 12-month Employer Action Plan which supports us to put in place best-practice interventions and policy to help our colleagues work in ways that promote a positive mental wellbeing.

As part of our action plan, we pledge to…

  • Hold monthly ‘The Mental Health Hour’ sessions, chaired by one of our Mental Health First Aiders, enabling colleagues to share their experiences with their peers, relate to stories and discuss advice / tips on the best way to manage a situation.
  • Hold group sessions using an activity to open conversations such as ‘How do we chill?’ to find out how people relax and share ideas amongst the group.
  • Build a ‘Employee Champions’ team – We will be looking to recruit Champions who are passionate about tackling the stigma of mental health within the workplace, have the time and resource to dedicate to this project, are confident in talking to colleagues, and perhaps sharing their stories to put their colleagues at ease and are a good listener. We want Champions that will help to spread the word and promote the activities we will hold.
  • Each month we will aim to release a new video of a colleague sharing their experience.

Sophie Hughes, IPRS Group HR Manager who worked on the action plan said, “We recognise that sadly mental health continues to be a taboo subject, but by signing the Time to Change pledge we are committed to changing this. The action plan has been designed to raise awareness of mental wellbeing across the IPRS Group, create a safe and non-judgemental environment where our colleagues can be open and honest about their mental health and provide training to our managers so they can support their teams.”

CEO of the IPRS Group Martyn Jackson is delighted the group has signed the pledge. He said, “Mental health in the workplace needs to be made a priority in all  businesses, it’s important that senior management take the lead in supporting this initiative and be seen to  be actively participating in all activities.”
